Fadl Fakhouri

Fadl Fakhouri is an interdisciplinary artist whose work centers on positionality relative to borders. Fadl has exhibited at San Francisco Art Institute, St.Moritz Art Film Festival, The Poetry Project, The Cincinnati Art Museum, and The Museum of the Moving Image. They hold a BA in Biology from UC Berkeley and an MFA in Visual Arts from Columbia University. They have held positions at Pratt Institute, Sotheby's Institute of Art and Tripwire Journal.

series of photos

A project documenting different forms of partnership. These portraits aim to illustrate how intimacy and interpersonal dynamics change as well as illustrate social, cultural differences amongst those paired together. Examples include romantic partners, friends, family members and colleagues.

















My time as Ghassan, 2024

During my residency at Ma’s house, I pursed a project in which I method acted as Palestinian writer journalist, Ghassan Kanafani. I recreated and contemporarized photo portraits of Kanafani to illustrate the similarities and differences between his time and my own.
