Freedom of Movement, 2024
single-channel video with sound
23:24 min

A poetry film that draws comparisons between haflat shabab (Palestinian bachelor parties), Oakland California's illegal rave scene, and the Israeli occupation of Palestine. Text elements and firsthand footage enhance the immersive experience and serve as a narrative tool to elucidate the challenges and constraints of movement within a choreopoliced society. The film aims to showcase the queer, othered experience without objectification, rejecting the colonial origins of photography as a means of surveillance. The film employs abstract imagery, video collaging and representation of drug usage via colored sound waves and lumetri scopes. Please contact me for the watch link.

A Corporation is an Artificial Being, 2020
single-channel video with sound
1:23 min

In this humorous video, I demonstrate a rejection of marketing’s attempt to make things seem cute. The fact of the matter is companies are carrying out the exact opposite through corrupt, uncivil exploitation of people. Companies don’t actually care about you; it is all performative. Whether it be Black lives matter or Pride, a corporation is an artificial being.
